The new multimedia series "Community Rhythms: The Five Stages of Community Life" is now available for your use. You can use it to advance your own learning as well as to engage your staff, board members, and others in your community. In a dynamic two-part Webcast, Rich Harwood leads you through the stages of community life and their implications for creating effective change in your community.

The series, sponsored by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, was originally provided for community foundations working in Knight Foundation-affiliated communities. Representatives from more than fourteen communities participated, including staff and board members from Miami, Philadelphia, Akron, Duluth, Macon, and Charlotte.

In the first part of the series, Rich Harwood speaks on the fundamental questions of community rhythms and why they are so important to discern if you are interested in creating effective change. In the second part, Rich engages you in an interactive exercise on how you can calibrate your efforts to the rhythms of your community to have the greatest impact.
